WOW great looking pad. i picture hanging out on the fire escape will be essential...and top floors of buildings put you on the same level as the birds. great picture of you and sarah, the sunglasses are pimpin'
googs... i love the way that you announce that you are moving in together.
do you hear that crashing sound -- hearts are breaking all over the circuits. that is, all the good men and women who dreamt of making sarah her or his own (no judgement) are jealous of you now, googles.
"full house"? i think that this looks like the 'hood of "too close for comfort".
sandy silver must be delighted.
perhaps now i will have a reason to come to SF? if i time it right, i could bring bmore food--most of it is tan: crabcakes; my grandmother's recipe for cold oven cake -- a pound cake; pasta with shrimp salad; potatoes; beer.
allyall silvers might have those soft fruit salads, but we have old bay, baby.
i've got a sweet lime-green couch with your name on it, george, but that couch ain't open for business until mid to late august!
i have never been to south carolina, have heard nothing but great things about south carolina (and spartanburg), and look forward to visiting south carolina the second the opportunity arises.
kq: you're the best. =) all those tan foods make me hungry. and thirsty. (and, indeed, mom is psyched.)
"i've got a sweet lime-green couch with your name on it, george"
Excellent.
And there's always room for you and/or the lovely Ms. Washburn in a nice little apartment on this side of the continent should both/either of you find yourselves in this neck of the woods.
All great news, but mostly I'm just jealous of your hair. It's a riot how you (apparently) keep west coast / east coast haircuts. Wild and free vs. trim and metro. If I move to the WC, do you think the bald spots would grow in?
Congratulations on the new place, the new job - and all other good things in your life.
hee hee, yep, jason, there's something about the air (or is the water?) out here on the west coast that let's me fly my freak flag a little bit higher - and wider. next time i'm in dc (most likely the fall), i'm taking you and yours to dinner.
Sweet, David. I'm at 917 Treat Ave. in the Mission (just a couple blocks where we had that party, ummm, 11 years ago). Let me take you and yours out to dinner when you get here.
i am an associate professor of environmental studies and urban ag at the university of san francisco. i live in oakland with sarah and our daughter siena. contact me via the email address listed on this page.

Excellent! When do you move?
hey, I used to live on Hermann, between Filmore and Steiner -- nice!
gw: aug 1 at the latest and quite possibly earlier ...
mm: rock on! wow, hermann is, what, like 2 or 3 blocks from steiner?
cool place! sorta reminds me of the block from the tv show full house
mm, according to this map your former place is one block away from our future place. nice.
googs...

And..uh...how soon will you be hosting visitors? ;-)
Oh, don't worry! I have something to offer in exchange: a visit to downtown Spartanburg, South Carolina!

since you're moving to SF, are you going to change your blog name to 'silver in san francisco?'
